Alberto Tonini is a professor in the Università degli studi Firenze in the Master degree of Mediterranean Studies, his research interests include Islam, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and modernity, migrations in the Mediterranean, and energy relations between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
He worked as the national secretary of SeSaMo, Sociéta Per Gli Studio Sul Medio Orient, and he has been the author of several publications such as Un'equazione a troppe incognite. I paesi occidentali e il conflitto arabo-israeliano (1950-1967).
