The European Researchers' Night 2024: The Global-ANSWER Project at an International Event
On 27 September, the European Researchers' Night was successfully held, an event that connects scientists and the general public through outreach activities across Europe. This year, the Global-ANSWER Project has offered a varied agenda of activities, with the main focus on social work, art and migrations.
The universities participating in this edition were the University of Palermo, the University of Florence, the University of Linnaeus and the University of Granada, whose research teams collaborated closely to publicize the progress of the project. During the event, the visual content of the Global-ANSWER Project was presented, with special emphasis on the works of the artists María Álvarez and Fernando Jiménez, from the City Council of Granada, who captured the intersection between social work, art and migration.
In addition, colleagues from other universities and entities actively collaborated in the proposals, participating in interviews, attending the stands and contributing to the presentations. The day had an excellent participation of all sectors.
In Palermo, interactive games were held designed to attract young people, encouraging their interest in social and scientific issues. On the other hand, in Florence and Granada, the public was able to participate actively through opinion questionnaires and fun quizzes on migration and social services, in which participants had the opportunity to win some prizes.
Thanks to this diversity of activities, the European Researchers' Night offered an educational and entertaining experience, bringing the public closer to topics as relevant as those addressed by the Global-ANSWER Project. The event has reaffirmed the commitment of the universities and collaborating entities to generate a social impact through research, art and dissemination.
